22 week bumpdate
This week has flown by. We have lots of birthday celebrations in December, Christmas preparations and work still going on at our house, so time is just flying. It’s crazy how much faster this pregnancy seems to be going by than my pregnancy with Luke. I’m kind of sad about it, since I love being pregnant. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited to meet our little boy, but I also like sleeping through the night!
Baby boy is definitely growing, and I feel like he had a growth spurt this week, making my belly really pop. I’m loving the pronounced bump though, and I smile every time I look down. I also think I’ve officially reached the phase where I now feel pregnant. Off-balance, tired, feeling heavy, and aware that I can’t really do certain things like climb a ladder to paint, or lift heavy/awkward boxes from Ikea.
How far along? 22 weeks
Baby is now the size of: A papaya
Gender: A boy!
Maternity clothes? Yep!
Movement: Lots of movement, still kind of all over the place and at random times, but he moves throughout the day and I’m loving the constant reminders that he’s there.
Food cravings: Christmassy baked goods and french fries.
Food aversions: None this week!
Favorite meal this week: This was a good food week. We had dad’s birthday brunch on Sunday, Julia’s birthday dinner Sunday night, and then Curtis made a beef and broccoli stir-fry that I’ve officially decreed will be made weekly for the rest of my pregnancy.
Emotional moment this week: Nothing that stands out.
Best moment this week: Going to the Christmas tree farm and finally finalizing a plan for the nursery.
Labour signs? Nope!
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding rings off or on? On.
Looking forward to: My doctor’s appointment on Wednesday where I’ll get to hear the heartbeat and see how baby boy is growing.
